One email when there is a package to download. No newsletter, no sequence, and no sharing your address with anybody.

  • No installer. A folder you unzip and two commands. Nothing is written outside it but your own data directory.
  • Your rows stay yours. Connection strings and results stay on the machine you put them on. The only thing an installation sends us is a daily licence check-in — a key, an id and a version number — and it switches off in one click. What that contains.
  • Drivers fetched on the target. The package carries no node_modules: Oracle and SQLite are compiled per platform, so the machine that will run them fetches its own.

What it needs

Operating system
Windows 10, macOS 12, or any current Linux. One package for all three.
Runtime
Node 20 or newer — the only prerequisite, and the only thing you install by hand.
Disk
About 400 MB once the drivers are fetched, plus whatever your results come to.
Network
Reach to the systems you are comparing. No inbound access needed.

Two commands

Unzip it where the account you will run it as can write, then:

01 npm install --omit=dev --ignore-scripts

Fetches the drivers built for this machine. Scripts are skipped on purpose: the SQLite binding ships a prebuilt binary and would otherwise try to compile one, which fails on a server with no C++ toolchain.

02 npm start

Mosaic listens on 127.0.0.1:4317. Open that in a browser on the same machine and it is running.

Leave it running overnight.

Installed as a service, Mosaic holds its schedules with nobody logged in — the difference between a tool somebody remembers to open and a reconciliation that has already run by the time anybody arrives.

Until you do, every trigger fires only while the window is open. Mosaic says so on the trigger page rather than letting you find out on a Monday.
